Gossip’s lead singer Beth Ditto recently released her new spring line (partly in collaboration with Gaultier) and it does not disappoint. Inspired by the city of London, the line includes bold mod prints and bright colors. You could instantly fit into the 60’s London wearing any of her dresses. This Marc Jacobs fashion muse is no fashion rookie, she’s rocked the runway before in his shows and others. Beth launched her line completely with her own funding without investors, wanting to have full control and creative input. Tired of the cheaply made and rather plain options for plus-size women, (and having stylists come in with nothing but sheets to dress her!), she wanted to come up with something truly different. The 11 piece collections sometimes clashes, sometimes breaks the mold for plus-size women, but consistently wows. The price range is on the higher end, but is created fashionably and ethically in mind in the USA. Her pieces are made to last and she can’t wait to make her next collection.
