2014 Roundup: The Best Plus Size Fashion Bloggers You’ve Never Heard Of

Tags: Industry Insiders

If you’re even remotely plugged in to the fashion world then you know that fashion blogging is where it’s at! Fashion bloggers and the plus size community are an inclusive community that’s out to change the world – for the better. In this continuation of our 2014 roundup, let’s take a look at some plus-size fashion bloggers that aren’t a household name, but will be soon!

Franceta Johnson

Ask Franceta Johnson what she thinks about current plus size fashion and she’ll lay it all out for you: “I’m a six-foot-five plus-size girl, but I still wear miniskirts and heels without hesitation. Size shouldn’t prevent you from taking risks.” When she was just 18 she created her blog, francetajohnson.com, and has set out to change not only the fashion industries view point on plus-size consumers, but plus-size consumer’s attitudes as well. Last year, Franceta collaborated with Mynt 1792, to design coats that were featured in the brands outerwear collection. Her hope is that one day curvy girls will have access to the same designers we see strutting down runaways each year. Until then, she says she’ll save her paycheck for the day when she can purchase Alexander Wang or Diane von Furstenberg.

CeCe

CeCe, founder of pluzsizeprincess.com, not only provides style and fashion tips but also often needed life advice on topics such as dating and fitness. Her motto, “Don’t wait on your weight”, inspired her to start her blog. She often provides an inside look at her experience shopping in a variety of retailers and specializes in offering her audience stylish and affordable pieces that anyone can rock. CeCe’s favorite designers/retailers include Jessica Johnson, Avenue, and Macy’s.

Kellie B

Kellie B., better known as the blogger of andigetdressed.com, is a New York City based blogger who admits that her fashion sense “shows clear signs of multiple personality disorder.” Kellie often blogs about her ever-changing and eclectic style, showcasing never ending outfit combinations. Her favorite brands and designers include Modcloth and Asos and she’s been featured in Glamour, Lucky, and Essence magazines.

Jay Miranda

Jay Miranda, is a plus size fashion blogger who is also a wife, mom and by her own words a “professional ponderer.” Perhaps is that’s relaxed attitude that gives way to a relaxed style and personality that makes her accessible to anyone. Combining fashionable choices while recognizing busy Mom’s out there, Jay gets bonus points for her features on maternity fashion and pregnancy style. Her blog, jaymiranda.com, also features a user-friendly and searchable outfit catalog that can be filtered by category or season! Some of her favorite brands include Delpozo and Victoria Beckham.
