In anticipation of the rainy spring days of April, it is incredibly convenient to be able to walk into any vintage store in Manhattan or Brooklyn and find a wonderful trench coat from London Fog. They are just fabulous and timeless and they cinch in the waist like no other! I found mine for $10 in Williamsburg at this shop literally called “Junk” but I’ve seen them all over and it’s such an easy investment. Timeless, classic, and the brand has even used plus-size women in their advertising. The fits are quite roomy, and promote the hourglass shape. I have broad shoulders but found the women’s trench to fit me perfectly and I still have room for a sweater underneath for warmth.
To spice up my look and protect my hair, I followed the style of these vintage Burberry ads and added a hat. Might need to work next on finding the perfect hat…
